We Are FIERCE!

Project FIERCE is a multi-faceted outreach initiative geared to reaching Men who have Sex with Men (MSM) in six counties in Northern Indiana. The goal of Project FIERCE is to educate and provide sexual health resources for all MSM; and to keep an active, healthy, and safe conversation about all aspects of sexuality alive in our community.
FIERCE Bar Crawl: The FIERCE bar crawl is a one-on-one educational outreach at local LGBT friendly bars. Outreach includes handing out condoms, and information about HIV, STD, and Drug and Alcohol abuse.
FIERCE House Parties: The FIERCE house party is geared to MSM of color and MSM under bar age. This is an outreach program that includes various games and factual information about HIV/STD. This program is to reach those people who are not in attendance at local bars.
Condom Olympics: Condom Olympics is a fun, fast paced competition where participants learn the ins and outs of condoms while competing in games like Condom Relay and Lube Lab.
Puberty 201: Puberty 201 is a new program that helps to reeducate MSM about “growing up” gay. It is a comprehensive sexuality education course. The education includes all aspects of sexuality to help provide factual information about the Human Sexual Response.
Internet Based Intervention (IBI): IBI will take place on websites that are geared to MSM dating and “Hookups”; whenever possible Project FIERCE will partner with the website to provide an outreach profile. Project FIERCE uses Guidelines from the National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD) and the Project Core Cyber Health Educator Handbook.
Individual/Group Education: In keeping with the current AIDS Ministries/AIDS Assist education program, Project FIERCE will be available to do both Individual (1-on-1) and Group (2 or more) educations to various institutions, persons, groups, etc.
Referrals: When necessary or appropriate, Project FIERCE, will provide referrals to various agencies related to Sexual Health. At no time will Project FIERCE provide referrals to political or politically related sites. All referrals will be done confidentially and in the best interest of the client.
